All-Levels Youth Aerial Programs in Canoga Park for Ages 5–12

A Message from Belle, Studio Owner

For the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of calling Aerial Method as my second home—as an instructor and a studio manager. Over the last decade, I’ve watched our youngest students grow from tentative beginners into strong, creative, and confident aerialists.

As we transition into Los Angeles Aerial Arts, I am incredibly proud to step into the role of owner. While our name has changed, our commitment to your child’s safety, proper professional technique, and creative growth remains completely unchanged.

Our mission remains the same: to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where every child is met exactly where they are.

— Belle Tadena, Founder & Instructor

Safety-Based Foundation

  • Individualized Lessons in Semi-Private Group Classes

All classes are open-level. To ensure safety and personalized attention, we tailor the difficulty of every pose to your child’s specific ability in real-time. Our youth classes are small and capped to 5 students.

Your child will never be lost in a crowd.

  • Active Coordination & Spacial Awareness

Aerial classes challenge and build your child’s coordination in a fun, dynamic way. Navigating space in 3D helps children develop bilateral coordination, motor planning, and spatial awareness—physical foundation that carries over into all other sports and daily activities.

  • Joint Stability: Form Over Unsafe Flexibility

Many children are naturally flexible or hypermobile, which can increase their risk of injury. To safeguard against injury and to establish healthy controlled movement patterns, we prioritize building muscle strength and proper alignment over passive flexibility.

What to wear?

Aerial arts require specific attire to protect your child's skin from fabric burns and maintain a clean, hygienic training environment:

Your child must wear athletic leggings or pants that completely cover the back of their knees and an. This is their best protection against painful fabric friction burns.

Leggings are a Must

Clean, toe-covering grip socks must be worn on all gymnastics mats, landing mats, and apparatuses. This absorbs sweat, prevents slips, and maintains strict studio hygiene. (Grip socks are available for purchase for $5.00 if you forget them!).

Mandatory Toe-Covering Grip Socks

Fitted or Tucked-In Tops

Shirts with sleeves should be snug or long enough to tuck securely into their waistband so they stay in place when upside down. This also protects their armpits and backs against painful fabric burns. Leotards with sleeves are great options.

Zero-Metal Policy

Please ensure your child removes all jewelry, watches, rings, and clothing with metal zippers or snaps before entering the floor. Metal permanently tears and ruins delicate aerial silks.
