New to Aerial?
You’re in the right place.
Every regular class at Los Angeles Aerial Arts is open level.
Whether you're brand new or have years of experience, instruction is tailored to your individual goals and experience.
There is no “beginner” class and no correct place to start. Instead, choose the apparatus that interests you most, and we’ll help you build from there.
Every aerial discipline develops strength, coordination, confidence, and body awareness—so the best place to begin is simply the one that makes you curious enough to come back.
If you’re unsure which class is the best fit, we’re happy to help you choose.
We all start somewhere.
Looking for aerial classes for a child 12 years or younger?
Our Youth Program is designed specifically for younger students and follows a different class structure than our adult program.
Which class should I try?
BUT WAIT, I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS…
-
That’s okay! You don’t need prior experience, upper body strength, or a dance background to begin.
-
Nope! You’re never too old to try something new.
-
It means the instructor individualizes the lessons to each student. If something is too easy, we can make it more challenging; if it’s too hard, we can dial it back down again.
-
To ensure safety of the students, instructor, and safe use of apparatuses, we have a weight limit of 250 lbs. The equipment can handle more but the instructor also needs to safely spot the student.
RIP off THE BANDAID…

Wear fitted athletic clothing that covers the lower back and the backs of your knees. If you have long underarm hair, we ask that you wear a shirt that covers the underarm area for hygiene purposes.
Grip socks are required for all classes.
-
Due to hygiene purposes, we ask all students to wear clean grip socks that also cover the toes.
Grip socks must be worn on all gymnastics mats, landing mats, and apparatuses.
Grip socks keep the fabric cleaner—in addition to reducing the exposure to and spread of foot fungus. They absorb sweat and keep feet dry while reducing the risk of slipping on apparatuses.
-
Yes, grip socks are available at the studio for $5. They are also widely available for purchase online.
-
That’s okay! Just reschedule your class twelve (12) hours before the start of class. Please note that class credit is only valid for 30 days after purchase.
